The Client

The Association of Cryptocurrency Enterprises and Start-ups Singapore (ACCESS) is Singapore's cryptocurrency and blockchain industry association — a non-profit serving close to 100 active member organisations. As the premier body for cryptocurrency and Web3 technologies in Singapore, ACCESS supports the ecosystem on policy development and local growth initiative

The Situation

Stablecoins — at a market size of over US$170 billion in Q1 2025 — were moving quickly into the mainstream, from enterprises to non-profits. Recognising this shift, ACCESS set out to become one of the first industry associations globally to accept membership dues in stablecoins. Katashe Solutions was appointed to design and execute the initiative with a policy-compliant payments flow.

The Challenge

With billions in stablecoins circulating globally, the need for seamless, policy-compliant and user-friendly crypto payment infrastructure was clear — but far from solved. Diverse compliance policies across wallets, tokens and payment flows created inconsistency and friction for end users. As a non-profit operating in a regulated industry, ACCESS needed onboarding through regulated partners, while ensuring the experience met the real-world expectations of both merchants and members.

What Katashe Did

Katashe Solutions created a smooth and secure transaction experience for ACCESS members, structured around three pillars:

Strategic industry partnerships

We led the onboarding of digital asset firms through ACCESS, aligning them with policy-compliant payment providers such as Triple-A, a licensed crypto payments provider, and HitPay.

Consumer-ready UX and UI integration

By embedding GrabPay wallets directly into the crypto payment flow, we preserved a seamless payment experience while enabling optionality in settlement via digital currencies — significantly reducing friction for merchants and members alike.

An open partnership model

Katashe coordinated across Grab, Triple-A and regulatory stakeholders to pilot and scale a multi-party implementation roadmap — one designed to be replicated across ASEAN for ecosystem-wide adoption, in alignment with each platform's compliance policies.

The Results

The integration marked a significant milestone: the first time a traditional super app in Southeast Asia formally interfaced with non-profit operations in regulated digital asset payments. The implementation modernised ACCESS's operations and set a precedent for how non-profits can embrace Web3 in a trusted and practical way — paving the way for a broader wave of Web2 and Web3 convergence.
