Katashe Solutions Advances Governance-Led Execution and Ecosystem Growth Across APAC
2025 Year in ReviewIn its second year of operations, Katashe Solutions continues to scale up its work across APAC, applying its venture building experience across three service lines: strategic governance, collaborative venture building, and ecosystem growth. Below are the key highlights for FY2025:
UX Governance and Market Readiness
Katashe was engaged by Triple-A, a licensed crypto payments provider, to lead an applied UX governance review of digital asset payment flows. The work assessed end-to-end user journeys across wallets and networks, surfacing usability, fee transparency, and risk communication gaps impacting transaction reliability and user confidence. Over 15 token-network combinations were reviewed across major wallets, including MetaMask, Binance Wallet, Ledger, and Phantom.
The work produced UX governance recommendations and a wallet transparency matrix designed to improve informed user decision-making in alignment with front-end design and backend compliance requirements. This engagement helped strengthen market readiness by improving transaction completion rates, increasing customer confidence, and supporting deeper enterprise wallet integrations in regulated environments.
Strategic Governance and Policy Research
Katashe’s governance work extended into applied policy research examining how programmable money and community currencies operate across digital, economic, and civic systems. Founder and Managing Partner Katherine Ng was appointed Adjunct Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, where her research focuses on community currencies, digital social infrastructure, and inclusive adoption of programmable money.
Building on insights from MAS Project Orchid, the research explores purpose-bound money, timebanking models, and people-powered monetary systems that tokenize verified social contributions such as skilled volunteerism within ESG-aligned frameworks. The work places strong emphasis on trust, civic participation, and embedding citizen voices into digital financial design.
Applied Technology Governance Systems
Through its Governance Grove initiative, Katashe Solutions advanced applied work in technology governance systems by addressing governance participation gaps in APAC for large-scale decentralized protocols. Governance Grove operates as a delegate to Lido DAO, with a focus on improving accessibility, participation quality, and long-term governance resilience.
Despite Lido’s global scale, governance participation from APAC remained constrained by knowledge gaps, interface complexity, and limited localized engagement. Katashe’s work focused on APAC-specific governance education and practitioner-led discourse through KatKast, featuring founders and ecosystem stakeholders exploring governance, mental resilience, and ecosystem growth across APAC and global markets.
This applied governance work was further strengthened by Katashe’s selection into the Scroll Accelerator Governance Program. Upon completion, the firm ranked within the top 10 participating teams and received a Scroll governance delegation, recognising its applied experience in technology governance systems, including DAO proposal drafting, decentralized decision-making, and ecosystem-level operating models. Insights from the program directly complemented and reinforced Katashe’s ongoing governance delegation work with Lido DAO.
Collaborative Venture Building
Katashe Solutions supported the expansion of Real-World Asset (RWA) access via the partnership between Evolve Capital and Alta, Asia’s leading digital securities exchange. The listing of flagship funds on Alta Exchange represents a significant step forward in democratizing access to private and public market opportunities through regulated digital infrastructure.
In parallel, Katashe co-founded CopeWell.ai, an AI-enabled mental wellness initiative focused on supporting founders and operators in high-stress technology ecosystems. CopeWell.ai was developed with a strong emphasis on ethical AI design, user trust, and human-centered safeguards, reflecting Katashe’s broader commitment to embedding governance principles into emerging technology applications. This work is informed by Founder Katherine Ng’s training as an alumna of The School of Positive Psychology, grounding the initiative in evidence-based approaches to well-being and resilience.
Together, these initiatives illustrate Katashe’s venture-building approach in FY2025, spanning financial market infrastructure and AI-enabled services, while maintaining a consistent focus on responsible innovation, governance design, and long-term ecosystem sustainability.
Ecosystem Growth
Katashe Solutions was appointed Ecosystem Growth Advisor to Uniswap Labs, supporting community education and engagement initiatives through the activation of its partnership with ACCESS Singapore. The engagement focused on translating governance and product complexity into accessible knowledge pathways for regional builders, users, and ecosystem participants.
This engagement underscored that sustainable ecosystem growth depends not only on technology adoption, but also on governance frameworks, practitioner-led education, and inclusive community participation aligned with local market contexts.
A central policy-in-action milestone in 2025 was Katashe’s role in enabling stablecoin payments at ACCESS via GrabPay. As ACCESS’ ecosystem growth partner, Katashe implemented onboarding aligned to merchant and user payment flows with real-world usage and policy expectations. This included integrating compliant payment infrastructure with GrabPay wallets to preserve a familiar consumer experience while enabling digital currency settlement, designed for replication across ASEAN. This payments integration marked an industry-first in the non-profit sector, demonstrating how policy-led innovation can be deployed in everyday institutional contexts.
Talent development formed part of Katashe’s ecosystem growth work, strengthening early practitioner pipelines and regional capability building. The firm launched the second cohort of the HM Katashe Summer Associate Program, providing structured exposure to regulatory analysis, governance research, blockchain strategy, and ecosystem operations. Katashe also sponsored and supported an ASEAN student delegation to Malaysia Blockchain Week, reinforcing regional talent development and cross-border ecosystem connectivity.
Awards and Media Recognition
Katherine Ng received the GSMA Women Digital Leadership Award at the Digital Nation Summit Kuala Lumpur. The award recognises women leaders advancing inclusive digital transformation across APAC. Katherine was recognised for her work on technology governance and Katashe’s venture initiatives in AI, which focus on embedding citizen voices, building digital trust, and fostering inclusive innovation in the region.
Katashe Solutions was named Finalist, Consulting Firm of the Year at the ALB Thomson Reuters Pan-Asian Regulatory Awards 2025, based on its work spanning regulated payments integration, market-ready UX governance, and decentralized governance.

Writing alongside the 2025 ASEAN Summit, she highlighted the region’s pragmatic approach to innovation, focused on addressing friction, building usable systems, and scaling them across borders.
Looking Ahead
FY2025 marked a year of execution for Katashe Solutions, translating policy intent into applied work across digital assets, governance, and market infrastructure. As APAC continues to adopt digitally native financial and civic systems, Katashe Solutions remains focused on building inclusive and interoperable ecosystems grounded in good governance, connecting institutions, open networks, and communities.
Building on a year of execution, Katashe enters its next phase with clarity of direction across strategic governance, collaborative venture building, and ecosystem growth.
Katashe Solutions extends its appreciation to partners and collaborators whose trust and engagement made this work possible, and looks forward to deepening these relationships as the region enters its next chapter of digital innovation.
