Katashe Solutions supported Uniswap Labs and ACCESS in designing and executing a community-first DeFi engagement model centred on education, stakeholder alignment and structured protocol dialogue — contributing to ACCESS receiving a "Highly Commended" recognition from Regulation Asia.

The Client

Uniswap Labs — a leading contributor to the Uniswap Protocol ecosystem — partnered with ACCESS, Singapore's cryptocurrency and blockchain industry association, to deepen engagement with DeFi-curious communities across Asia.

The Situation

As DeFi adoption expands, a persistent barrier remains: the gap between protocol complexity and real-world user comprehension. Concepts such as liquidity provision, governance participation and protocol design are technically robust but socially distant for first-time participants.

The Challenge

Uniswap Labs needed a partner who could convene diverse stakeholders — from grassroots communities to institutional voices — and create spaces where education and dialogue drive real understanding of DeFi. The goal was not event delivery alone, but a replicable model for protocol activation through education-led ecosystem participation.

Community-first protocol education

We supported the design of accessible narratives and moderated structured discussions that translated complex DeFi mechanisms into clear, contextual conversations — panel formats intentionally shaped for clarity, relevance and engagement, so new entrants could participate without prior technical exposure.

Stakeholder coordination across the ecosystem

We facilitated alignment across multiple DeFi organisations — coordinating session themes, speaker participation and programme sequencing — so discussions reflected both protocol-level depth and ecosystem-level relevance.

Event execution and on-ground facilitation

We provided operational support for session flow, participant engagement and networking design, enabling meaningful interaction between protocols, contributors and community participants rather than passive observation.

The Results

The collaboration contributed to deeper engagement between Uniswap Labs and DeFi-curious communities across Asia — and supported ACCESS in receiving a "Highly Commended" recognition from Regulation Asia in the Digital Assets Industry Collaboration of the Year 2025 category.
